Various PSE Charts

will try to add more charts as soon as i have time.

meg062209tradingtime1045am
Usually i consider a stock in a full reversal if its correction is more than 20% from its recent high. Example
MEG, recent high 1.26, less 20%, the reversal level is 0.98. overall, chart of meg is still above its bband and rsi is still positive but a breakdown at 0.98 will aggravate further selling and 0.90 is likely an easy target. a “tsupitero” or a short term trader may buy at this level 0.98 (with a tight stop loss) in a “hope” this level will hold and price to bounce back at the 1.04-1.08 level for an easy 6% to 10% gross profit.

Fear is in the Markets

Suddenly the bullish sentiments in the markets disappeared and all it take is a big 2-day drop…. and counting. I’m not feeling well and my stomach is aching. I hardly have enough decent sleep for the past 2,3,4,5,8 years??? i lost count. I plan to take a rest in forex trading (will maintain a small account, $10-$20 courtesy of adsense, later i plan to share whatever income i got from “investing not trading” in forex to those who have clicked my adsense blog). God willing, end of June I’ll temporary retire trading fx, enough to secure the kid’s future and paid all those credit card dues. My uric acids are high, bp at 100/150, high sugar, triglycerides skyrocketing. My wife is constantly reminding me to take a rest, exercise, and eat “well”…

Healthy Correction or Not?

Forex pair usd/yen is not participating on the dollar strength. this for me is worrisome. last time usd was stronger against euro cable et al but weaker against yen was oct of last year. I remember that event because i was in Manila that time (our trip was sponsored by a GMA7 executive, thanks to a great friend). We were in Freddy’s then having dinner with my great friend and Mr. Tsupitero (www.tsupitero.com) Miko Sayo. it was a massive deleveraging back then and equities were collapsing. a healthy correction should be at least usd strong vs all majors and most importantly against yen. caveat.

Happy Father’s Day

June 15, 2009
Ongoing Encouragement
READ: Colossians 3:14-25
Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. —Colossians 3:21

Father’s Day is celebrated in many countries worldwide. Although the origins, activities, and actual day of observance differ widely, they all share the common thread of honoring fathers for their role as parents.

This year for Father’s Day, I’ve decided to do something different. Instead of waiting to receive a card or phone call from my children, I’m sending words of appreciation to them and to my wife. After all, without them, I wouldn’t be a dad.

Paul instructed fathers to be a positive part of their children’s development rather than a source of anger and discouragement. He wrote, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord” (Eph. 6:4). “Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged” (Col. 3:21). Both of these verses are embedded in passages about loving and honoring each other in family relationships.

The role of a father changes as children grow, but it doesn’t end. Praise and encouragement are welcomed whether a child is 4 or 40. Prayer is always powerful. And it’s never too soon to mend a broken relationship with a son or daughter.

Fathers, now is a good time to tell your children how much you love and appreciate them. — David C. McCasland

Our children need encouragement,
Expressions of our love and care;
Appreciation, when expressed,
Accentuates the bond we share. —Sper

The greatest gift a father can give to his children is himself.

Gospel for June 13, 2009, Saturday

Claretian Communications Foundation, Inc. | 06/13/2009 12:00 AM

10th Week in Ordinary Time
Anthony of Padua

1st Reading: 2 Cor 5:14–21
Gospel: Mt 5:33–37
Jesus said to his disciples, “You have also heard that people were told in the past: Do not break your oath; an oath sworn to the Lord must be kept. But I tell you this: do not take oaths. Do not swear by the heavens, for they are God’s throne, nor by the earth, because it is his footstool, nor by Jerusalem because it is the city of the great king. Do not even swear by your head, because you cannot make a single hair white or black. Say yes when you mean yes and say no when you mean no. Anything else you say comes from the devil.”

Commentary
We need to be people, who mean what we say and say what we mean. Sure, we’ll make some people angry in the process; we can’t please everyone. When we try to please everyone, we catch the politician’s disease of promising people whatever they desire, with no intention of keeping their promises. Do we want to be seen as having the same credibility as politicians? No? Then, we need to be plain-speaking! People will respect us far more if they know they can trust whatever we say…even if they disagree with us…than if they take us for slick-talking deceivers.
We shouldn’t have to take an oath to feel obligated to fulfill our word. When we make a promise, we should mean it, without resorting to some kind of impressive-sounding oath. Love does not deceive, but honors another person enough to be honest with him or her. We all want to know the truth, no matter how painful it is. So, we should love our neighbor as we love ourselves, speaking the truth in the same way as we’d like to have the truth told to us, ourselves. If we would be Christians, we must speak the truth as Christ did!

NewsL!tter

Today i emailed this to select friends.

Hi frens, To God be the Glory.
after projecting 950 for the sp500 this May, i drop the idea that it will past that level for the reason that the vbottom pattern have made no effort for a healthy correction. reason why i am afraid of the market now is that it is a very tricky pattern. the tail end of the v usually gives us a clue whether there will be sustain breakout or a correction of great depth is about to happen. it is clear now base on the sp500 charts’ april to present chart formation that indeed this is the tail of the V. you may call it a truncated double top or a 2B, but the ingredient of a low volume tail end signals that a major correction is imminent, this coupled by sp500’s stalled actions for the past few days. this is the very same pattern of aud/nz daily (posted at blog). i even targeted sp500 at 1050 – 1100 for yr end and was about to upgrade but did not bevause there’s no healthy breather.
i have more reason to be afraid based on the charts as im now entertaining the idea that this was all a tease and indeed could be a sucker rally.
will draw chart tom, but the interesting fact is that, unlike the the more stronger V (aud nz has an extended flag), the sp500 did not even breath convincingly, except slightly on the tail end. that’s what im afraid of. just my humble opinion. Godbless always.

be well,
hernan
